Looking for a way to celebrate our feline friends this month? Here are a few fun April cat activities.

NOTE: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many events have been cancelled. But here are some virtual events you can check out.

April 6: National Siamese Cat Day

This annual animal holiday shines the spotlight on the beautiful Siamese breed. All felines are fabulous, but “Meezers” exude grace and elegance. Not only are they one of the most popular cat breeds in the world, they are also one of the oldest. If you’re lucky enough to have a Siamese feline friend, give him an extra cuddle or two today.

April 10: Cat Camp Spring Forward @Home

Following two successful virtual events in 2020, Jackson Galaxy’s Cat Camp is back for a springtime celebration.  This acclaimed event for animal enthusiasts was created to educate, engage and inspire cat lovers around the world. Thanks to an investment by Petco Foundation, the event is free to attendees and will feature both entertaining and educational interactive content, including harness and clicker training, caring for kittens, fundraising ideas and how to best serve community cats. It’s followed by an “After Pawty” full of cat-themed activities, games and prizes. The event will livestream at CatCamp.com at 1 p.m. EST. Visit the website for additional information and to register for the event.
